During October 8-12, 2012 RSRP provided specialized model inspections (on-the-job training) of radiation protection inspectors of Sanitary and Epidemiological services of Ministry of Public Health in Kyrgyzstan. Model inspections were conducted at medical X-ray installations. The objective of this activity was to improve inspectors' knowledge and skills and to enhance the quality and efficiency of the regulatory inspections. On October 5-6, 2012, Mr. Jan Salava of AdSTM and Mr. Grigol Basilia of Georgia, visited the Armenian Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center (N&RSC) for discussions on implementation of nuclear material accounting database NUCMAT in non-nuclear countries with limited amount of nuclear material in locations outside facilities (LoFs). Tests performed in Georgia and detailed discussions during the visit demonstrate that NUCMAT is a good tool for this purpose but the interfaces need improvement to become more user-friendly. An updated version is expected by December 2012.
On October 5-6, 2012, Mr. Jan Salava of AdSTM and Mr. Grigol Basilia of Georgia , visited the Armenian Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center (N&RSC) for discussions on Arabic interface for the Advanced Regulatory Information System (ARIS). Performed tests and detailed discussions demonstrate that at ARIS modules RASOD and Authorization could be used with interface and inputs in Arabic language.
