During April 24 – May 2, 2014 RSRP provided specialized model inspections (on-the-job training) of radiation protection inspectors of the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia. Mark Shaffer (NRC/OIP deputy director) and Sergey Katsenelenbogen (AdSTM) visited Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) of Uganda to assess progress on the country wide inventory project and the development of a national registry of sealed radiation sources and X-ray generators. The meeting reviewed inventory results for Kampala region and praised AEC efforts in this area. RSRP program sponsored a workshop on inspections in radiotherapy held in Tunis, Tunisia, November 11-15, 2013. The workshop was organized by the Tunisian National Centre for Radioprotection (CNRP).
