Mark Shaffer (NRC/OIP deputy director) and Sergey Katsenelenbogen (AdSTM) visited Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) of Uganda to assess progress on the country wide inventory project and the development of a national registry of sealed radiation sources and X-ray generators. The meeting reviewed inventory results for Kampala region and praised AEC efforts in this area.
