From November 18 - 22, 2019, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's RSRP conducted a consultation with the Dominican Republic Comisiòn Nacional de Energía (CNE), in Santo Domingo. Mr. Rick Muñoz of AdSTM, Inc. provided information and guidance to the Dominican Republic’s Regulatory Authority with the objective of strengthening their Licensing and Inspection of Industrial Radiographic operations. The consultation was a component of an Action Plan for CNE with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. In addition to the information exchange workshops, a formal inspections/site visit at a licensed industrial radiography facility was conducted with feedback from the RSRP representative. The consultation provided CNE with suggestions and recommendations to improve and further develop their regulatory program related to industrial radiography regulations, licensing review and inspection procedure protocols.
