From July 25-29 2016, RSRP provided training on the Advanced Regulatory Information System (ARIS 2.2) to the Senegal Radioprotection and Nuclear security Authority (ARSN). The primary objectives were the installation of the SQL-based ARIS 2.2 software, training for all four modules of software (Licensee, RASOD, Authorization, Inspection), and an introduction to the report system. AdSTM and BNL staff met with ANRS staff on July 11-13, 2016 in Tbilisi, Georgia to discuss and plan the NRC safety assistance program for developing new ANRS office space. Series of meetings and site visits were also held with the ANRS and the local technical/constructing support organization, to review the planned renovation project for new office space. The project will proceed with developing the design for renovation based on ANRS functional requirements followed by implementation phase in late 2016-2017.
From 11 to 17 June 2016, John Kinneman of AdSTM, Inc. participated as a member of an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team conducting a National Regulatory Infrastructure For Radiation Safety Advisory Mission in the Republic of El Salvador. The team met with the management and staff at the Radiation Regulatory and Advisory Unit in the Ministry of Health and visited several hospitals. On June 20th, 2016, the RSRP program conducted a meeting in Peru with the Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy to discuss a future collaboration between IPEN and the RSRP program. IPEN presented an overview of Peruvian regulatory framework and AdSTM presented an overview of the RSRP support program. The meeting was attended by high level IPEN authorities including its President. Geraldine Fehst from the USNRC, and Sergey Katsenelenbogen and Mario Rodriguez from AdSTM, represented the RSRP program.

This is part of the undergoing collaboration with the Regulatory Authority of Dominican Republic aiming to strengthen Radiation Protection in the country. The consultation was conducted as part of the Radiation Sources Regulatory Partnership (RSRP). The consultation took place at the IBTEN offices located in La Paz, Bolivia. Dr. Charles L. A newly formed Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety (an Independent Regulatory Body since January 4, 2016) signed on February 12, 2016 the first agreement with the RSRP to design and implement a web-site that covers ANRS activities. These web pages will reside at the Ministry of Environment web site. Vasil Gedevanishvili, head of the ANRS, and Sergey Katsenelenbogen for RSRN signed the agreement.
