The U.S. NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered a virtual training seminar on "Introduction to Authorizing/Licensing the Use of Radioactive Material" for Latin America countries. The virtual seminar was conducted in a 1.5 hour session on January 20, 2021. The seminar provided an overview of the general goals and requirements needed for the authorization or licensing of radioactive material as described in the NUREG 1556 "Consolidated Guidance About Materials Licenses" series. Thirty-three (33) regulatory staff from Colombia, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay attended the seminar.
