The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) conducted a virtual meeting with the Uruguay National Regulatory Authority in Radiation Protection (ARNR), on October 23, 2020, to discuss ARNR plans and identify areas for collaboration. The ARNR Director and US NRC and AdSTM representatives attended the meeting. The meeting resulted in important discussions on ARNR´s vision for future bilateral collaboration, which include regulatory staff training on medical and industrial technologies and update existing regulations. The US NRC and AdSTM will continue to consult with ARNR about appropriate assistance for their activities.
