The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Radiation Sources Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered a weeklong workshop on the licensing and inspection of well logging for managers and staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) of Ghana. Well logging refers to the practice of making a detailed record of the geology during drilling done as part of oil and gas well exploration and production. The training, held in Ghana August 12-16, 2024, included presentations and discussions on all regulatory aspects and included a site visit to a licensee where the NRA participants saw demonstrations of safe radioactive source handling and observed the conduct of well logging activities.
