The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) conducted a virtual meeting with the two regulatory authorities in Colombia: The Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Ministry of Health, on October 23, 2020, to discuss the regulatory plans and identify areas for collaboration. The Heads of each Ministry including staff members, the US NRC and AdSTM representatives attended the meeting. The meeting resulted in important discussions on the vision for future bilateral collaboration, which includes regulatory staff training, quality control protocols in medical technologies and well logging. The US NRC and AdSTM will continue to consult with Colombia about appropriate assistance for their activities.
