The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered a virtual training seminar on “Overview of Cyclotron PET Licensing Process”. The seminar was conducted in two sessions, on July 22 and July 28, 2020; with each session lasting approximately 2 hours. The seminar provided an overview of the production of PET radioactive material licensing including, PET radiopharmaceutical materials to be considered for the licensing of PET facilities, safety requirements for the design and construction of PET facilities and the principles of shielding and other radiation protection safety measures. Twenty-two (22) regulatory staff from Armenia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Rwanda, Zambia and the U.S. attended the seminar.
