From September 9-13, 2019, a consultation under the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s RSRP was conducted for the Central African Republic National Radioprotection Agency (ANR) in Bangui, Central African Republic. Rick Muñoz provided information and guidance to the ANR with the objective of strengthening their licensing and inspection of industrial radiographic operations and for inspecting medical facilities. In addition to the information exchange, formal inspections/site visits at a licensed industrial x-ray and hospital facility were conducted. The consultation provided ANR suggestions and recommendations to improve and further develop their regulatory program related to industrial radiography and medical regulations, licensing review and inspection procedure protocols.
